1. Material Selection: Heat Resistance is a Must

The biggest challenge for car perfume samples is the high temperature inside a vehicle, which can exceed 80°C during summer exposure. Therefore, the choice of sealing film material is critical.

We recommend using PTFE or modified PI materials, as they can withstand prolonged high temperatures without softening or deforming. Additionally, the contact layer must be resistant to alcohol corrosion, able to withstand long-term immersion in 95% ethanol to prevent seal failure due to content corrosion. After 72 hours of accelerated aging testing at 85°C, performance degradation should be less than 5% to ensure long-term reliability.

2. Breathability Control: Just the Right Fragrance Release

The core function of perfume sealing film is "breathable yet leak-proof" — allowing the fragrance to release slowly while keeping every drop of liquid securely sealed. This requires precisely engineered microporous structures (pore size 0.01-0.1μm) for intelligent controlled release.

Breathability rates should be customized according to fragrance type: 5-8ml/min/cm² for intense fragrances, 12-15ml/min/cm² for light fragrances. If your perfume has woody or citrus notes, the breathability rate should be adjusted accordingly — woody scents around 8±1ml/min, citrus scents around 15±2ml/min is recommended.

3. Anti-Vibration Design: Ready for Bumpy Roads

Unlike stationary desktop products, car environments involve constant vibration. Therefore, the sealing film needs excellent shock resistance.

We recommend choosing a composite structure with thickened aluminum foil layer (above 25μm) combined with an elastic PE buffer layer, effectively withstanding driving vibrations. Grid-pattern heat-sealing texture helps disperse impact forces, requiring 4-hour vibration testing at 10-50Hz frequency with 5mm amplitude to ensure no leakage. Alcohol permeability should be controlled at <0.1g/m²/day.

4. Size Adaptation: Small Samples, Big Considerations

Sample sealing typically involves smaller bottle openings, making size matching crucial. You need to provide the inner/outer diameter of your bottle mouth, and manufacturers can customize diameters (common range 10-25mm).

Pre-cut designs should match mainstream sample bottle sizes, supporting personalized printing (LOGO, QR codes, usage instructions, etc.) with minimum printing accuracy of 0.2mm. Regarding MOQ, standard products typically require 5,000 pieces, custom orders 10,000 pieces; delivery cycles are 7-15 days (negotiable for urgent orders).

5. Sampling Testing: Test First, Decide Later

The biggest taboo in customizing sealing film is "armchair planning." We recommend requesting test kits containing different breathability rates from your supplier and conducting at least 7 days of actual in-car testing to verify whether actual performance meets expectations.
