Note: Excessive or insufficient sealing temperature may cause issues
The ideal sealing temperature for aluminum foil sealing film is far from simply "the higher the better." It is a precisely controlled optimal range. Excessively high or low temperatures can lead to sealing quality issues, compromising product safety and shelf life.
Potential issues caused by excessively high temperatures:
1. Excessive melting and deformation of the heat-sealing layer
Excessive temperature can cause the heat-sealing layer (such as PE/PP) to melt excessively, leading to overflow from the sealing edge and resulting in a "glue spill" phenomenon. This may result in an unclean appearance of the sealing film and bottle mouth, and even affect the resealing integrity when screwing the cap back on.
2. Aluminum foil layer damage
Although aluminum foil has a high melting point, excessively high temperatures may damage the composite structure between it and the plastic layer, leading to delamination and blistering, which in turn reduces the overall strength and barrier performance at the sealing area.
3. Deformation of the bottle neck material
Especially for plastic bottle mouths, excessively high temperatures may cause thermal deformation (such as softening or collapsing) in the bottle mouth itself, leading to unevenness and ultimately compromising the integrity and sealing effect of the closure.
4. Product Thermal Damage Risk
For heat-sensitive contents (such as certain active ingredients or heat-sensitive food), excessively high sealing temperatures may conduct heat through the bottle mouth, affecting product quality.
Issues arising from excessively low temperatures:
1. Poor sealing, prone to leakage
When the temperature is insufficient, the heat-sealing layer cannot fully melt and form a strong intermolecular bond with the bottle opening material, resulting in low sealing strength and a high risk of leakage or gas escape during transportation or storage.
2. Incomplete sealing
There may be instances of false sealing or partial sealing, creating tiny leakage channels that allow oxygen and moisture to penetrate, significantly compromising the product's shelf life.
