1. Non-Breathable Sealing Film: Designed for Sealing

The vast majority of food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic packaging requires a complete seal — to block oxygen, moisture, and aromas, preventing the contents from oxidizing, volatilizing, or becoming damp. This requires high-barrier sealing film.

Common Types:

Aluminum Foil Sealing Film: Oxygen barrier rate >99.9%, moisture barrier rate close to 100%, ideal for long-term freshness.

Metallized Composite Film: Cost-effective, suitable for products with a medium shelf life.

All-Plastic Sealing Film (PE/PP/PET): Suitable for products with low barrier requirements.

Characteristics: Non-breathable, leak-proof, and light-proof (for aluminum foil types), providing comprehensive product protection.

2. Breathable Sealing Film: Special Scenarios Needing "Respiration"

Some products actually require a certain level of breathability to maintain their quality.

Application Scenario 1: Coffee Bean/Ground Coffee Packaging

Coffee releases carbon dioxide continuously after roasting. If completely sealed, the package can swell or even burst. One-way degassing valves or microporous breathable films allow gas to escape while blocking oxygen from entering.

Application Scenario 2: Fermented Food Packaging

Products like kimchi and yogurt produce gases during fermentation and need appropriate venting to prevent package swelling.

Application Scenario 3: Car Perfume/Aromatherapy Packaging

These require a slow, controlled release of fragrance while ensuring the liquid does not leak. This is what we often call "breathable yet leak-proof" sealing film.
