PE foam breathable gasket is a sheet-like material mainly made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) or ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), with foaming agents, crosslinking agents, etc. added, and processed by high-temperature foaming molding technology. 

We can break it down to understand: 

PE (polyethylene): This is the most commonly used plastic, non-toxic, odorless, chemically stable, soft, and tough. 

Foaming: means that countless tiny, continuous or independent bubbles are generated inside the material during the processing. This transforms the material from solid plastic to a structure resembling a 'plastic sponge'. 

Breathability: This is precisely the core characteristic brought by the foam structure. These micropores are interconnected, allowing air and water vapor to pass through, but effectively blocking liquid water. 

Gasket: describes its form and function - usually a sheet (or roll) used to cushion, seal, and prevent slipping between objects.
